Education, a discipline that is concerned with methods of teaching and learning. It helps in the development of the soul of an individual. Learning and acquisition of knowledge are important for a modern society. A country with a literate population can change and can do wonders even with the slightest of efforts. This is the reason why the Parliament of India enacted the Right to education on 4th August 2009. In this whole process of learning new things, the most important phase in a person’s life is his /her school days. Children of today are the adults of tomorrow. Therefore, they need the right skills to contribute to the economy in the few years to come and this is where school comes in. Waking up early almost every day to go to school is not something that most students like, but this doesn’t underestimate the importance of schools.

School is the bridge to success. It is the place where a child can get constructive education as every child is unique. Everybody needs to be mentored at his/her own pace and school is the only place where this thing is taken into consideration. School education provides not just academic development but rather, allows you to be the best of yourself. Life takes a new turn every day till the time a child is in school. It has been observed that school provides a lot of opportunities to the students, apart from just academics. We have seen many students participating in various extracurricular activities and excelling in the same and converting that into their profession as well. Earlier, the school was considered to be a place where a child will get to study historical events, solve mathematical problems and recite poems. To some extent, the scenario has been changed now. In the current educational scenario, a child learns to go beyond the traditional way of learning. They are taught to develop a mind of their own. They aren’t told to mug things up but rather to have conceptual clarity. These days education has been turned into one of the necessities of life. The shift of thoughts from bookish knowledge to knowledge of life, in schools, which brings forth a sea of change. There are a few intangible aspects that are considered to be very important in a persons’ life in adulthood like empathy, friendship, participation, assistance. These are a few prime abilities that are believed to be inculcated into a child in his/her school days.

In the nutshell, change is the result of all the learnings. Education is considered to be a conglomeration of learning and school education, to be precise, is believed to bring a transformation in a student’s life from a social, mental, and physical outlook. Overall, schools play an important role in moulding a nation’s future by facilitating the development of its future citizens. Nowadays, school has become the first stepping stone in the life of a child, wherein he/she learns a lot more than just rote learning.
